We develop solutions based on satellite data, Earth Observation and artificial intelligence for those who govern the territory, manage infrastructure and study environmental risk.
Sevalta is an Italian innovative startup incorporated in Bari on 19 March 2026, registered in the special section of the Business Register as an Innovative Startup under Italian Law D.L. 179/2012. We are in our first month of operational activity.
Our mission is to transform satellite and geospatial data into operational tools for public decision-makers, researchers and infrastructure managers. We work to make visible what normally remains hidden in the complexity of the territory.
In this constructive phase we are developing our first applied research line (SOGLIA), activating scientific collaborations and building the pipeline towards the main European funding programmes.
► Launch of SOGLIA Research line (EO + hydraulic risk)
► Activation of institutional scientific collaborations
► Building the European project pipeline (ESA BIC, Horizon Europe, regional funds)
Earth Observation · soil · hydraulic risk
Sevalta is developing a first applied research line dedicated to the integration of satellite, geospatial and territorial data for the study of soil saturation susceptibility, surface runoff dynamics and technical support for reading hydraulic risk.
The research line is currently in a phase of methodological refinement and may evolve through scientific collaborations, pilot cases and national and European funding programmes.
The approach involves the combined use of Earth Observation, SAR and multispectral data, digital terrain models, meteorological data and GeoAI tools, with the aim of building replicable methodologies to support territorial authorities, applied research and planning.
Research line in methodological definition. The development path will be shaped by scientific collaborations, pilot contexts and public funding opportunities.
Not “catalogue services”, but areas of research and development where we are building competencies, methodologies and products. At this stage we are open to scientific and institutional collaborations.
We develop methodologies for the processing and multi-source fusion of SAR, optical, hyperspectral and LiDAR satellite data for environmental and territorial monitoring applications.
We develop systems for estimating soil saturation susceptibility, reconstructing runoff paths and verifying flood hazard areas in sub-flat terrain contexts.
We design operational digital twins for river basins, coastal areas and critical infrastructure, integrating real-time EO data and physical models for what-if simulations.
We develop geospatial decision support platforms for public authorities: hydrogeological early-warning, territorial planning, environmental assessment support, infrastructure monitoring.
We develop machine learning algorithms applied to geospatial data, focusing on hybrid physical+ML models for hydrological parameter estimation and explainable approaches for the public sector.
We design services for monitoring soil quality, water resources, vegetation and climate change, with potential application in precision agriculture and nature-based solutions.
A family team with complementary expertise covering territorial engineering, GIS, remote sensing, machine learning and applied energy engineering.
Civil engineer (territorial planning specialisation), licensed since 1993. Over 30 years in infrastructure, territorial and environmental engineering. Partner and Technical Director at I.G.&P. – Ingegneri Guadagnuolo & Partners S.r.l. since 1998. Certified Project Manager ICMQ UNI 11648:2022. Member of the Provincial Scientific Technical Committee (BAT Province) for environmental matters, OICE-Confindustria Energy and Environment Committees.
Currently completing a BSc in Environmental Civil Engineering. Has independently developed operational skills in cartography, GIS systems, remote sensing and geospatial data analysis — directly relevant to Sevalta’s EO and multi-source fusion activities.
BSc in Energy Engineering; currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Nuclear Energy. Competencies in machine learning, computational science and numerical modelling, applicable to the development of AI algorithms for geospatial analysis and operational digital twins.
We are in the process of activating our first scientific collaborations. We are open to dialogue with universities, research centres, territorial public authorities and incubation programmes.
We are initiating first contacts with university departments and research centres in territorial engineering, Earth Observation and geospatial systems. Conversations are at an early stage and may lead to formalised scientific collaborations.
Sevalta’s applied research domain naturally intersects with hydraulic risk planning and territorial management. We are evaluating possible points of contact with competent public bodies for the validation of methodologies under development.
We are mapping funding opportunities most consistent with our research trajectory, with particular attention to European programmes dedicated to technological innovation, Earth Observation and climate resilience.
We are in our first month of activity and welcome collaborations with anyone sharing an interest in satellite and geospatial data for territorial management, environmental risk and innovation in the public sector.
